Sham Shui Po Centre and Shatin Centre are providing one-on-one professional speech therapy service to 214 children, 118 of which received service in Sham Shui Po Centre and the remaining 96 in Shatin Centre. 95% of children enjoy fee remission, while the remaining 5% pay a fee equal to half of the private therapy charge. We have served more than 4,600 children and their families since our establishment and 20 children are on the waiting list.
Apart from offering speech therapy to children in need, the Centre also provides free of charge parents support programmes such as parents talks and seminars, counselling service by our social workers who also conduct home visits, clinical psychologist and psychiatrist services if necessary.

Centre regularly organized seminars, and provide counselling sessions and free psychiatrist service to support the parents, aiming at empowering parents with better knowledge and skills in parenting and alleviating their stress in raising up their children.
Centre organized a variety of interest classes on Saturday. The children could also experience a sense of accomplishment and self-affirmation through constant praise and encouragement.
The Centre launched various types of parent-child activities to provide valuable time of intimate sharing. It can also help to enhance children’s life experiences and stimulate their language development, as well as alleviating the stress of parents from raising their children.
From April 2024 to March 2025, the Center provided one hour of individual weekly tutorial to a total of 47 students, in total 955 sessions, giving them the opportunity to catch up with their academic performance. The children’s academic performance has greatly improved after the tutoring sessions.
